Using a Key

Step 1: Choose the right key

Find a sturdy key with a long neck and a strong handle to grip onto. Avoid using a flimsy key, as it might break during the process.

Step 2: Insert the key

Place the key's tip against the cork at a 45-degree angle. Push and twist the key into the cork until most of the key's neck is inside.

Step 3: Twist and pull the cork out

Hold the bottle with one hand and the key's handle with the other. Gently twist the key while pulling upwards to extract the cork. It might take a bit of effort, but patience is key (pun intended)!

    Using a Shoe

Step 1: Find a suitable shoe

Choose a shoe with a flat, sturdy sole, like a boot or a sneaker. Avoid using high heels or shoes with thin soles.

Step 2: Place the wine bottle in the shoe

Rest the bottom of the wine bottle securely inside the shoe, ensuring it fits snugly.

Step 3: Bang the shoe against a wall

Find a solid wall (preferably an exterior wall) and firmly hit the shoe – with the wine bottle inside – against the wall. Make sure to hold the shoe and bottle firmly, and strike the wall with the part of the shoe where the bottle's bottom rests. After a few bangs, the cork should start to move out of the bottle.

Step 4: Pull the cork out

Once the cork has come out enough, use your hand or a cloth to remove it from the bottle carefully.

    Using a Bike Pump

Step 1: Insert the bike pump needle

Clean the needle of the bike pump thoroughly. Push the needle through the center of the cork until it reaches the wine.

Step 2: Pump air into the bottle

Start pumping air slowly into the wine bottle. As pressure builds up inside, the cork will begin to rise.

    Step 3: Remove the cork

Once the cork has risen enough, grip it firmly with your hands or a cloth and pull it out.
